The Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act needed to progress the proficiency
and success of the healthcare system. The Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act
(HIPPA) included some simple administrative requirements. Those requirements were given
to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) so that they could obtain national
standards the new technology and information gathering and holding. Congress eventually got
on board and in 2009 they added an additional law to the act. That law is Health Information
