Review two IEPs of one student with intellectual disability.
Discuss diagnosis/prescription/evaluation and analyses of goal instruction with a teacher of students with intellectual disability (ID), including the implementation and development of goal instruction for students. What role do such procedures play in the daily class?
Observe one student in an instructional setting. Record evidence of IEP goal attainment or the lack thereof. After the observation, follow up through a brief interview with the instructor. Discuss the method(s) used for goal setting and instructional planning.
Write an essay of 1,250-1,500 words, discussing the experience and evaluating the strategies used.
