About the Download

Based on the assigned reading, it stated “The gap is widening beyond what the guy at the bottom can even understand. There’s very little common ground left in terms of the experience of the average worker and the CEO (Cascio, 9th ed., p. 446).” This is certainly both a true statement and a sad reality, especially when there is that much of a disconnect. With this in mind, how can management relay and sell the CEO’s vision if the CEO does not even have a connection to his or her average worker and what can management do to correct this scenario? Furthermore, as an employee, it would seem logical to be able to work harder for a CEO who one felt connected to and one who a mutual trust could be shared.
